My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**UPDATE!!** Storm and Doe are making incredible strides! Doe is allowing the foster to pet her and is constantly out with Storm and the other dogs, playing and carrying on. Doe has even used the doggie door and ventured outside!! We feel that with more time and patience and a diligent adopter, these two will continue to flourish in socialization.

Storm & Doe are a special pair of Chihuahuas in need of the perfect special home. They are survivors from a home where a hoarder had thirty other Chihuahuas. They turned the first five in at animal control and because they were terrified they had no hope of rescue. We took all five and Storm and Doe (who are obviously bonded) are in a foster home together. After three months they are still very afraid of people. Storm will now take treats from his foster moms hand and both of them get excited and happy at breakfast and dinner time. They are crate trained and tend to stay in their crate with the door open during their days. In the evening when the lights go out they like to play with their toys and race around after each other for a bit having a great time. They are also paper trained and cannot go outside on a leash. They do not bite, if cornered so you can pick them up they are frozen in fear. We are hoping for a therapeutic home where their new family will love them and realize that they will not likely be lap dogs or leash dogs. If you pick Doe up Storm frets at your feet worried about her so it's imperative that they go to a home together. They have a much reduced adoption fee which includes their crate and all their toys. They are completely vetted, microchipped and spayed and neutered. They're estimated between 4-6 (Storm) and 2-3 (Doe.) If you have a heart for these poor munchkins and can offer them a happy and contented life with each other please apply. We would love to talk with you.
