Mugsy's Story...
Mugsy is a great guy. He is approximately 5-7 years of age per the vet and is a pit bull mix. Mugsy does well on a leash and know sit and lay down. He loves to be close to his people and is a great snuggler. Foster mom describes him as a mellow and generally chill guy. Mugsy gets along well with other dogs and also cats. He does well with children as well. Mugsy has perfected lounging on the couch. This is one sweet sweet boy. Mugsy is potty trained. Due to his time outdoors Mugsy was unfortunately heartworm positive. His treatment has been completed and he is completely heartworm free. He does have some anxiety with being crated and needs to be in a home that does not plan to crate their dog. He gets scared and will break out of his crate.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mugsy, a Overland Park Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
