My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Up for adoption: "Oceans 11" this dog is simply adorable!

We named her Oceans 11 because we were in the process of saving another lab from a high kill shelter in Texas and then we found out this beautiful girl was there too and we could not leave her behind.

We asked the shelter her name and her name was simply "11" for "Kennel 11", the kennel where she was being held! Then we had a wonderful man go pick them up and there was confusion as to if they gave us the right dog, a canine caper. We got it sorted out and we are thrilled to say we saved this beautiful, gentle, loving soul. She just had some mystery and intrigue to the "saving" process! (There always is... :) We nicked named her "11" but now we call her Oceans 11 and even Beautiful 11.

Oceans Eleven loves all people, all ages and sizes, and her happiest place is with her head on your leg or being loved on. She’s great with other dogs, too. Submissive, but not fearful, she takes correction from other dogs calmly and nicely. She loves to play with her toys, either on her own or with you or with another dog. Stuffed animals are her favorite, and she loves to toss them in the air and chew on them, but she doesn’t destroy them. “Tug” is an exciting game for her, and she can get a little carried away and not always notice where the toy ends and your hand starts, but other than that she’s not bitey or mouthy. She’s also quiet and rarely barks. She’s 56 pounds with long legs and a long body.

Oceans Eleven is house trained and crate trained and knows how to use a doggie door. And wait, get this, even better: Her foster mom is a DOG TRAINER! The fabulous Rona says: "After just two leash walking sessions she is already improving. I’d change that part to “learning to walk nicely on a loose leash, but never pulls”.

She knows “sit” and learns quickly and really wants to please. She’s sensitive and responds best to praise and rewards; force or punishment would confuse and scare her. She’s a sweet, goofy, happy, playful, quiet girl who would love to have a family of her very own.

Oceans Eleven is about a year to 18 months old, still puppyish, she is spayed, vaccinated, micro-chipped and wants an awesome forever home! Is that with you? Apply at www.luckylabrescue.com
