Luna's Story...
Luna will love you to the moon and back! After 6 years of being a family dog, this 7-year-old beauty was pushed outside, because she was not adjusting well to having children in the house. We got Luna into a temporary foster home, to get her out of the cold and start enjoying life again, but she needs to find a long-term foster or her new forever home where she can be your one and only. She loves to go for walks and enjoys being brushed and cuddled and loved. She’s got obedience training in the bag; don’t let her occasional stubbornness fool you. Her compatibility with other animals in the home is unknown so to be on the safe side, we are recommending no other dogs or cats in the home please.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Luna, a Hawthorne American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Hawthorne, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Hawthorne.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hawthorne already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hawthorne breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hawthorne paves the way for another one to be saved.
