Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello Friends,
My name is Bambi and I’m a dainty little girl of 4 years who tips the scales at about 12 lbs. My Foster Mom says that Bambi is a perfect name for me because I am gentle and quiet, have graceful long legs, and big beautiful brown eyes that you can just get lost in. Mom calls them doe-eyes. She says that no one can resist me. How is that the case you ask? Well, take for example what I do with Mom (and I’m happy to show you, too!)
When she talks to me I give her a big smile, wag my little tail really fast and I run up to her and run in tight little circles. I love to be her constant companion and follow her from room to room. She calls me the cutest pup and best companion ever (aw, thanks, Mom). But that’s not all I do. I have a special way of talking with my paws. I will stand on my hind legs and put my paws on your lap,or the couch or bed, so I can let you know where I want to go .Mom finds that very helpful And, one more very important thing to know is that I will drop at a moments notice for a belly rub (and Mom is really good at it). I am grateful to be in a nice warm home, with good food, a comfortable bed and a foster Mom who adores me! My tail is always wagging – and I have a smile on my face for everyone I see.
I am such a happy and loving girl now that you would never guess that my life was not always so good. You see I used to have a home, but it was very crowded with other dogs and we were not cared for very well. I didn’t have enough food and my beautiful curly coat was so matted that it hurt when anyone touched me. One day, Animal Control came and took me and my brothers and sisters away to a place called a shelter. We were shaved down and put outside in noisy cold kennels. It was a very scary place but at least I had my brothers and sisters with me. But then, one by one, each went to their forever homes, and I was left alone. I was so sad that I didn’t know what I was going to do. Just when things were at their worst, my Auntie from Bichon Furkids came for a visit. She looked into my eyes, and I climbed into her lap and from then on, I was a furkid.
Mom says to tell you that I’m a lover! At the end of the day when it’s time to cuddle up on the couch, I’m the first one there. That way I get the bestest spot (right against mom’s side.) That makes me so happy I could do it all day long. She says that I am very special and wonderful companion, who is gentle with all people big and small.
There is something else that you should know about me. I was born with this thing called a luxating patella. It’s a long funny name for a kind of funky knee. It doesn’t bother me a bit and I am not in any pain. I walk and play just like any other furkid but sometimes I will lift it so it doesn’t slow me down. Mom says it makes me even more special.
I’m a really gentle girl who loves to give kisses! I give the soft and gentle kind that let you know how much I care and that I appreciate my life. I’m definitely not a couch potato either. I like my walks (I can even run) and I especially love to ride in the car. I am housebroken and learning my commands. I already know how to sit and stay. Mom says I’m smart and want to please!
So if you are looking for a gentle, sweet and mellow little girl with beautiful brown eyes who would love to be your one and only, then I’d like to apply for the job. I promise to be your best companion ever.
