Charlie Brown's Story...
Charlie Brown is a 9 year old, 13 pound bundle of LOVE! This sweet boy was surrendered to us when his human could no longer care for him due to her own illness. She loved him and wanted to do what was in his best interest!! Charlie gets along well with everyone, is submissive, and loves cuddling with his person. He sleeps in bed with his foster mom at night. He is very calm, doesn't bark a lot, and is easy going. Charlie would do best in a home with very few steps though. He can walk up and down them, but it is a little difficult for him. He just started on a supplement (glucosamine chondroitin) that should help a lot with his "stiffness." Also, he just had 16 teeth pulled on 12/12/16. so he is now eating wet food. Charlie does well with baths, grooming, and he loves car rides! When he gets excited, he will even do a little dance on his back two feet for you! Charlie would make a great companion for someone who is looking for a laid back, sweet dog.

If you are interested in adding Charlie to your family, please go to www.goofyfootrescue.org to complete an online adoption application. He is being fostered in west Tennessee and will be transported once his adoption is finalized.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charlie Brown, a Bedminster Bichon Frise dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bichon Frise for sale in Bedminster, or seeking a Bichon Frise dog from a breeder in Bedminster.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bedminster already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bedminster breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bichon Frise breeders who help with Bichon Frise rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bedminster paves the way for another one to be saved.
