My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Welcome Ronan! At only 30lbs, this miniature Chocolate Lab is a funny little fellow! Ok, he probably isn’t a miniature lab, but seriously, look at him! What else would you say he is? He is just under a year old and fully crate trained.
Ronan hasn’t been around cats but he has been around children. He seems to open up more around them and that’s probably because they’re more his size. With other dogs, Ronan is playful and submissive from the get-go. He absolutely loves interactions with other pups and loosens up quite a bit around them! Structured introductions aren’t necessary with this one and he would be a great dog park dog. With people, he can be a little shy at first but once he warms up, all he wants is attention. He’ll just melt your heart away as his tiny little body melts to the floor when giving him chins scratches!
Though he is not quite housebroken yet, he is working really hard on learning! Ronan responds very well to corrections and we are confident he’ll catch on soon. While still adjusting to the friendly human world he has recently entered, Ronan is not quite sure about some things and is working on building his confidence. So far, mirrors and men tend to make him pretty nervous, but with enough interactions with both, he’ll get over his fears soon enough! For the time being, a few good play sessions are all Ronan needs, but once he has more self-assurance, he’d make a great running partner! He has a good bit of energy and is very curious about his surroundings.
As much as Ronan enjoys attention, he is by no means needy and doesn’t need to be the center of the universe when pets and scratches are being given out. He enjoys a good belly rub but doesn’t consistently seek it. With as soft as he is, it’s hard to stop petting the petite pup!
With a little more work on his confidence, Ronan will shine through and become the perfect companion for any family. Hurry and adopt him today – it’s not often you come across a miniature lab!!!!

To ensure our dogs are placed in a safe environment, we require a home visit for all adoptions. Because of this, we typically only adopt to homes within 30 minutes of Athens, GA. If you are further away than that and are interested in one of our pups, please still fill out an application and we can discuss your options. Please understand that you would be responsible for all transportation - meeting the dog, picking the dog up to start a trial, returning the dog should he/she not be a good fit, etc. Please visit our website for more info.
