Sabrina's Story...
Sweet Sabrina and her 4 babies were rescued after living on a farm in western Illinois. They have since been weaned (and are also up for adoption!) and now this lovely lady is hoping for a home of her very own! Sabrina is about 2 years old. She has a cute little tail that is shorter than most which yes, makes her even MORE adorable. Loves other cats and also lives in a home with a large dog and children. Must be adopted into a home with another cat or dog for her to play with.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sabrina, a Chicago Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
