Ernie*ADOPTED*'s Story...
ERNIE HAS AN ADOPTED!!Pal's Place rescue would love to introduce you to eight of some of the cutest little puppies we've ever seen! This precious little family was rescued from an over burdened, open-intake shelter in Kentucky. They were surrendered after the family dogs had puppies and their owners quickly realized they were in no position to care for so many pups. Their mother was an English Setter and their father a Border Collie/ Great Pyrenees mix. There are 4 males and 4 females in the litter. They are all very sweet, curious, playful and affectionate pups. They will make wonderful companions for active families! These little guys were born on October 17th and will be ready to leave for their new families the weekend of December 16th. It's hard to say how large they will be when they fully mature, but we are estimating they will be anywhere from 50-80 pounds. They will be spayed/neutered, wormed, microchipped and have had two series of puppy vaccines before being placed. Their adoption donation is $375 and it helps to offset their medical expenses while in our care. For more info or for an adoption application, please email palsplace1@hotmail.com

• The adoption donation for each pup is $375. This donation helps to cover their spays/neuters, initial vaccines, initial worming and microchip. Pal's Place relies solely on donations to care for the pets in our care. Your donation also helps save other animals like this little family from euthanasia.

• Please email Palsplace1@hotmail.com for an adoption application and please put the name of the dog in the subject line. Please be sure to check your spam/junk folder; sometimes the applications end up in there!

• All of our dogs are in foster homes are can be seen BY APPOINTMENT ONLY, after an approved application has been received. To receive more info please email palsplace1@hotmail.com. Email is the preferred method of contact and is the quickest way to receive a response. We cannot place holds on our dogs, please do not contact us until you are prepared to adopt.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ernie*ADOPTED*, a Chicago Border Collie/English Setter puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/English Setter for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Border Collie/English Setter puppy from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/English Setter breeders who help with Border Collie/English Setter rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
