Special needs: Epilepsy
Darby is a cutie, a bit shy at first but definitely comes out of her shell after she explores her surroundings. She loves to play with her toy mouse and a game of smack and chase is always fun! Toys are great, but in the sunny afternoons, Darby stretches out by the door to watch the birds and wonder just how she might catch one of those very aggravating and tempting creatures. Darby loves belly rubs and doesn’t mind asking nicely for more and more and more and more… well, she loves to have her belly rubbed – you get the idea! Darby was rescued from a local high kill shelter when her time was almost up, and ever since then, she’s been determined to show her gratitude. Loving and affectionate, gentle and easy-going, Darby is very sure there is someone somewhere just for her. After all – she was lucky once: why not twice? Kitty daydreams of a forever home keep her spirits up and her heart hopeful. Darby is patient, and she is keeping the faith that very soon it will be her turn to go home to where she will live out her days as the much loved kitty of the household.

About Purr Partners Feline Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Purr Partners was incorporated in 2009, and we currently save and adopt out around 500 cats and kittens each year. We have no paid employees, and as volunteers, we do this because there is such an overwhelming need for rescue for cats and kittens in North Carolina, and because we care very much about the lives of these forgotten animals. We believe that every furry feline deserves a loving family, and try to make that happen. Our volunteers come from all walks of life, and offer their time and talents to help save lives. We are always looking for new volunteers!

Come Meet Our Pets...

We have three adoption centers: Wake Forest Petsmart, Six Forks Petsmart, and Capital Crossings Petsmart. Our cats and kittens are at the Wake Forest and Six Forks Petsmart all the time, and at Capital Crossings 2 weeks out of the month. We have volunteers available to allow people to meet our rescues every Saturday from 11 - 3 and every Sunday from 12 - 4. We also arrange individual meets and greets when possible and at different times. We do require an approved application before these individual meetings will be set up. These meetings may be at Petsmart or the foster home of the cat or kitten.

Our Adoption Process...

If you are interested in possibly adopting, please go to our website and complete an application. This is not a commitment, but when we receive it, someone will contact you within 24 - 48 hours. The application is the first step in our process. Once you are approved, we can make arrangements for you to meet any of our cats or kittens. If you are not sure which one you might be interested in, we can help you narrow your search!
All our cats and kittens are tested, spayed or neutered, UTD on vaccinations, wormed, and microchipped before adoption.
