Oreo's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, and good with kids.

Oreo's Story...
Oreo is a lovely, sweet, snuggly, social, friendly and extremely out-going, two-year-old, female Tuxedo cat looking for a loving guardian..

This beautiful girl adores people of all ages, including children. She enjoys sleeping snuggled on her foster's bed each night. Oreo lets you pick her up like a baby and pet her belly.

She has excellent litter box and scratching post habits. Oreo could probably be OK now in a home with another cat-friendly dog, and would probably even tolerate living with another cat, but she probably prefers to be the only cat and queen of her new home. =)

Oreo is a healthy, spayed, de-wormed, up-to-date on rabies and distemper vaccinations, virus-tested negative and micro-chipped. She has all her claws but lets you trim them.

The adoption fee of $85 each benefits the Tree House Humane Society. She is being fostered in Lake Bluff, Illinois.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oreo, a Chicago Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
