Sweet Bo is a 6 year old, HW negative, male English Mastiff who came to the Bullpen from a shelter in Atlanta. He was seized by the police after his owner committed suicide. Bo came to us at the emaciated weight of 100 lbs. Since arriving at his foster home he has gained 25 lbs and continues to gain more each day. Bo is a full on lover. He loves nothing more than to snuggle and give and receive affection. His favorite time of day is when he is cozied in bed with his human friends. He is as suave and smooth as a Barry White song. Bo has made friends with his foster home’s 2 male mastiffs, female pit/mastiff and even the pot belly pig. Bo seems to have been put on this planet to love everyone and everything. He is always in a good mood, ready to go for a walk, chill out at the house or go for a ride in the car. He can be super silly and goofy. He likes to lie on his back and squirm around while waving his paws in the air (truly a sight to see with a dog his size). He knows basic commands and is house trained. If you want a companion that is going to enrich your life with loyalty, affection, and devotion, Bo is your man. We highly recommend that our potential adopters fill out an online application as soon as possible, as it greatly expedites the process of finding the right dog for your situation. The adoption app is available on our website (www.bullpenrescue.org) under the 'work with us' tab. If you choose not to fill out an application before inquiring about a particular dog, please briefly tell us about yourself, family, and lifestyle since this will help us determine if the dog you’re interested in is a good match.
Our dogs are available for adoption nationwide but preference is given to adopters willing to do an in-person meeting. Please understand that our dogs are not adopted on a first-come, first-serve basis, but rather we strive for a “perfect placement” so we know that they will not be failed again.
