While we're waiting for more photos, we didn't want to waste one minute trying to find Rooster the perfect home! If you're looking for something specific, please understand that his breed mix is a guess so we don't know how big he's going to get or how small he's going to stay. But if you're looking for a cutie patootie who will love you forever, Rooster is sure to exceed your expectations!! Rooster is the only boy of a 3 surviving puppies left in an open storage tub at the doorstep of a vet clinic during a torrential thunderstorm. It might not have been as bad had the clinic been open on the weekend, but instead they were the Monday Morning surprise, 7 puppies stuck in a pool of what was then-freezing water, one already dead and 3 more too far gone to be saved. Rooster and his sisters were the hardy survivors and now we're looking for homes that will promise to keep them safe and warm forever!
As the only hen-pecked boy, Rooster has learned to be tolerant and patient -- he's no dummy!! His sisters can be very domineering and he's figured out life is much easier if "Chill" is your motto!! He is so sweet, very snuggly and super friendly!! Like all of them, he gets the "puppy crazies" running around like a lunatic, chasing and wrestling with his sisters, but when he crashes, he is OUT!!
Rooster does bear one sad reminder of his unfortunate beginnings: his left eye sustained some sort of trauma and seems to have no vision, making him blind in that eye. But don't tell him that -- he gets around just fine! Rooster is about 6 weeks old, she looks like she is going to be a medium sized boy and he's very healthy.
