Hi there! Gwynnie here. Hey, I am looking for a new home and would like to know if yours is available. I am young, slim and have big brown eyes. I know how to sit and walk on a leash, but that is not what makes me special. I was almost drowned and had both my back legs and my hip broken with my first owner. I have had surgery to correct my broken hip and I am now walking 2 miles a day comfortably. Since I was a little afraid of some strangers, I have been in training to learn to meet new people quietly and without fear and now I am much more confident. I have learned how to stay, lie down and shake. Since I have some "border collie" energy the training has helped me learn to wait and listen better. I will come with additional training for my new owners to help me continue with my good manners. I love to be petted and enjoy playing with other dogs, especially big dogs, as I think I am a big dog too. I have enough energy to be a great playmate for an active dog or puppy. I have gained a good bit of weight and am now a healthy 32 pounds although I will always be a slim build. I have also been around cats and, while they are not very good sports about playing, they tolerate me because I won't hurt them. If you have a spot open in your house and your heart, I would sure love to come fill it. LOVE AND LICKS Gwynnie

About S.A.V.E. Rescue Coalition - TX Chapter

About Our Rescue Group...

S.A.V.E. Rescue Coalition works to promote adoption through new adoption events, more public exposure of pets for adoption, and help the public make a good match with an adoptable animal.
Rescue groups work very hard to save animals every day, often using their own money, sacrificing time with family etc. We have animals from shelters and the streets of Houston that are now adoptable pets and we area helping these animals find permanent, loving homes.
We are all volunteer and no funds are spent for salaries, benefits etc. All money goes directly to the rescue group or their animals.

Our Adoption Process...

Adoption fee range from $150-250 for dogs and $90-125 for cats and each animal is altered, microchipped and current on all vaccinations. You will be required to complete an application for your selected pet. You can do so at www.saverescue.org/adoptionapplication. Processing may take up to 3 days. The application will include previous pet experience and vet info, how you will house your new pet and a little about your lifestyle so that we can be sure your pet will mesh with your family's activity level. We want you to have a permanent family member so we will take great care to assure that you find a suitable companion.
