Facts about Shenandoah

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Gray Or Blue
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • Hair: Short
Shenandoah came to us from a shelter as a stray, and while in the shelter delivered 7 babies. She came to us very skinny. While at her foster mom’s home she took very good care of all 7, and gained trust in foster mommy to hold and play with all her cute babies. Now all the babies are old enough to be adopted, Shenandoah needs a furrever home as well. Once she gains your trust she is very sweet. She will purr, but never learned how to play. We are working on that as well as having her gain some weight. Please consider me and give me a chance.

About Purr Partners Feline Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Purr Partners was incorporated in 2009, and we currently save and adopt out around 500 cats and kittens each year. We have no paid employees, and as volunteers, we do this because there is such an overwhelming need for rescue for cats and kittens in North Carolina, and because we care very much about the lives of these forgotten animals. We believe that every furry feline deserves a loving family, and try to make that happen. Our volunteers come from all walks of life, and offer their time and talents to help save lives. We are always looking for new volunteers!

Come Meet Our Pets...

We have three adoption centers: Wake Forest Petsmart, Six Forks Petsmart, and Capital Crossings Petsmart. Our cats and kittens are at the Wake Forest and Six Forks Petsmart all the time, and at Capital Crossings 2 weeks out of the month. We have volunteers available to allow people to meet our rescues every Saturday from 11 - 3 and every Sunday from 12 - 4. We also arrange individual meets and greets when possible and at different times. We do require an approved application before these individual meetings will be set up. These meetings may be at Petsmart or the foster home of the cat or kitten.

Our Adoption Process...

If you are interested in possibly adopting, please go to our website and complete an application. This is not a commitment, but when we receive it, someone will contact you within 24 - 48 hours. The application is the first step in our process. Once you are approved, we can make arrangements for you to meet any of our cats or kittens. If you are not sure which one you might be interested in, we can help you narrow your search!
All our cats and kittens are tested, spayed or neutered, UTD on vaccinations, wormed, and microchipped before adoption.
