Two hearts, beating as one!
These two amazing babies need a forever home, TOGETHER. If you knew them, you would agree that to separate them would be unbearable.
Pedro and Darling were dumped by AF by their owners and Darling ended up on the transfer list because of her dental problems. Those have been taken care of by the rescue angels at a Home 4 Spot and they're both in foster right now.
To call these two "a bonded pair" is an understatement. Pedro while he appears to be younger than Darling, is her protector, her guide and the love of her life. She does NOTHING without him by her side. When shes scare he puts himself in front of her. When shes tired, he guards her while she sleeps. In fact, he rarely takes his eyes off her for very long.
I have no way of knowing for sure, but I feel like Darling May have been abused. She is terrified of loud noises and voices (even if coming from the TV), to the point she runs and hides under the bed and no amount of coaxing will bring her out. We're working on it and she seems to be responding to the love she's receiving as shes more trusting than she was a week ago. Overall, those she is amazingly funny. She gets in these playful moods that are too adorable for words. She lvoes belly rubs and she will dance on her hind legs until she gets them. When I hold her in my arms, she searches my eyes. What is she looking for, I wonder? I wish I knew.
Pedro- What can I say about my hero? He adores Darling but he also loves to snuggle in bed with me at night, gives frequent kisses and gets a bit possessive of his human when another male dog is around, but not to the point of aggressiveness. Put him in a room with all girls though (such as it is at my house) and he's in heaven. Both babies get along well with cats too. Potty trained, don't know if they're leash or crate trained.
