Meet Coby, a super sweet senior companion; an ambassador of love. He LOVES people. You never have to wonder where he is at the dog park; he is always visiting with the largest group of people. We do not know his exact age but he is at least 14 years old. He required major dental cleaning and fistula repair when he arrived in Rescue; he has healed nicely with no complications. We have Coby listed as a “Special Needs” dog because he is deaf and because he is a very Special guy. As long as he has a person to follow around and snuggle with he is happy and content. He has a good appetite ( soft food preferred) and good potty habits; he will use a dog door 100% or he will go potty if someone takes him outside in a secure yard on a regular basis. He is calm and quiet and gets along with other dogs but he will be just as happy as an only dog with someone who can be home with him. His ideal home should be calm and quiet, patient and loving, like he is.

About Italian Greyhound Rescue Southern California

About Our Rescue Group...

Rescue is a re-homing service provided for full-breed Italian Greyhounds that have been abandoned at an animal shelters or surrendered to Rescue the owner.

Approved IGCA Rescue Foster Caregivers provide care for these orphans in their homes, where their health and temperament are evaluated so that they can be placed in a home that can best meet the needs of the dog. Before being placed all dogs are taken for a veterinary check-up where vaccinations are updated, the animal is neutered or spayed, any serious medical conditions are treated, and if necessary, their teeth are cleaned. Each Italian Greyhound can potentially cost Rescue hundreds, sometimes thousands of dollars to rehabilitate. All members of Italian Greyhound Rescue are strictly volunteers; they donate their time and expertise without any compensation for their services.
