Please consider that many of these dogs have been abandoned, ignored by their previous owners, or turned in to a shelter, having little interaction with someone who cares about them. When adopted, they will need time to adjust to the changes in their life.
Miles Davis is a sweet one year old GSD who was surrendered because his owners felt that they couldn't give him the attention he deserves. They reported that he does great with kids and does well with cats. He can get overwhelmed by a large number of dogs, so at this point, we recommend avoidance of dog parks. Miles is capable of getting along with dogs in small numbers, so a home with one canine companion might work well for him. We'll post more as we get to know him.
Although we do our best to keep our adoptable animals page as current as possible, not all the animals you see may be available . We get dogs often, so get your application in, and we will do our best to match the best dog to you and your circumstances.

Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply.
