Momo came from Waco, where she was abandoned by her owner. Not long after, she went to her foster home, where she loved to play with her foster “sister”. She comes when called and is very affectionate… she likes her 'special spots' in the house, listens well, and can't get enough love. She’s a unique blend: the vet is guessing boxer & greyhound. Maybe some pittie mixed in, too? Birthdate is thought to be May of 2012, making her an adult, thankfully past the puppy chewing stage.
Momo will sit or lay by a 'sit' command, waits for permission to eat, and sits before leaving the house for a walk. She’s shown no food aggression. It’s thought she’ll do well with cats, but that hasn’t been proven yet! Momo enjoys chasing tennis balls, and with an owner who is a runner, she would be in heaven. She’s built like a little greyhound and she can GO!.
Momo seems to be picky about the dogs she likes! With the right dog she’s great, but she definitely wants to be “the dog in charge”. She’s highly motivated by food and affection, and can sometimes be a bit anxious and insecure. She’s a quick learner and eager to learn more! She’s proven herself to be very reliably housetrained.
If you feel your home might be the right place for such a great dog - the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt. Once submitted, the foster will contact you promptly to tell you more and to arrange a time to meet!
The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter.
Momo is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster, not by DFWRM.
