Honey's Info...

Honey's Story...
Honey is a very beautiful, loving and sweet six to seven-year-old, 24-pound, apricot and white female, Cocker Spaniel / Poodle-mix aka Cockapoo looking for a loving guardian.

Poor chubby Honey was dropped off at Chicago Animal Care and Control when her family had a baby and they decided they could no longer take care of their first baby, their dog.

Honey is very vocal, but she is good with other dogs. She loves to be pet and loves running in the yard.

She got so sick at the shelter that she had to be hospitalized for pneumonia. Her vet bill was over $4,000. Luckily she survived and is completely healthy now.

She does guard food, so she would do best in a home without children.

Honey is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped and heartworm-tested. Her adoption fee of $250 benefits the rescued dogs of Famous Fido.

To meet and possibly adopt Honey, please fill out the adoption application at and follow up by contacting Gloria at or 773-907-0305. Honey is currently at the Famous Fido Rescue facility at 3124 W. Irving Park Road (at Troy Street) in Chicago.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Honey, a Chicago Cocker Spaniel/Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel/Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel/Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel/Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel/Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
