JP's Story...
JP is a playful, lovable 6 month old gray tuxedo boy with a little white chin that resembles a goatee :-) He is named after the kind man who rescued him when he was walking along busy North Ave. He's a big cuddly boy who is learning to trust humans. Once he is comfortable with you, he loves to be scratched and have his belly rubbed. He has a very loud purr! He enjoys playing with the cat dancer and resting on the highest perch of his cat tree. His left eye is a little watery, but that may stay with him his whole life. He's a sweet boy who will likely be a big cuddler once he is 100% comfortable. If you have the room, he'd love to be adopted with his foster mate, Quade.

Adoption fee is a minimum $75 per cat donation to Feral Fixers . All cats are up to date on shots, microchipped, dewormed, fixed, and felv/fiv negative. Discounted adoption fee if two kittens or cats are adopted together, $130 for a pair. Brief screening questionaire and contract apply! Please email gotfriendlies@feralfixers.org or call (630) 881-7459 for more information

Why Adoption is a Great Option

JP, a Lombard Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Lombard, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Lombard.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lombard already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lombard breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lombard paves the way for another one to be saved.
