This pocket pittie had been hanging around the yard of a good samaritan who called animal control officers to pick her up because she appeared to be in bad shape. She was. She was nothing but skin and bones, severely weak and anemic from intestinal parasites. She made a complete recovery, and is ready to find a forever home. We estimate her to be a couple of years old, and she weighs 37 lbs. She has just been treated for heartworms, so she will need to have her activity limited for the next few weeks to help avoid complications. She is a very sweet and happy girl. She does have a fair amount of energy, so she'll need plenty of exercise when she is ready to go back to a regular routine. She does try to chase cats outdoors, so we can't be sure whether she'd do well with them in or outside. Let us know if you''re interested in meeting this adorable lady!
Update: ready to go back to normal activity
