Bosco's Story...
At the Christmas season, people sometimes have to wait to unwrap a present – and this pup is a present for sure! Boscoe is a 6-7 year old, red Australian Shepherd weighing in at a mighty 38#. At the moment, Boscoe looks like he is much meatier than he is because of all of his hair, but thank goodness for all that hair! Boscoe’s owner moved in with different boyfriends that did not like Boscoe, but still kept him. Then, she remarried and her new husband kicked Boscoe outside after 6 years as an indoor dog tying Boscoe outside with no shelter. As an indicator of how sweet this boy is, he doesn’t hate men, but rather, LOVES people and misses his kids a lot. Boscoe was raised with kids and cats and loves them both. He is okay with other dogs if introduced slowly and properly. Boscoe is neutered, house trained and leash trained. He has no interest in toys and would prefer to follow you around the house, appreciating the warmth and companionship he is getting now. We are happy to groom Boscoe, but with the freezing temperatures in Idaho at the moment, it is both dangerous and irresponsible for us to do so before adoption. Boscoe is waiting at our Idaho rescue for you! Adoption fee is $250.00. Transport may be available to approved adopters. Contact Journeyhomerescue@outlook.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bosco, a E. Wenatchee Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in E. Wenatchee, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in E. Wenatchee.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in E. Wenatchee already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a E. Wenatchee breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in E. Wenatchee paves the way for another one to be saved.
