Emmy's Story...
Hi There...Emmy's my name and I was transferred here from another Rescue. I've been adopted and returned because these homes were just not a good fit for me. I need an adopter with the time, patience and energy to help me become my best self. I need help developing more confidence and help learning good manners. And I need lots of positive reinforcement along the way. I'm very food motivated so that should help. A lot of loud rambunctious activity can seem scary to me so the VHS recommends no children under 5 years old. I love car rides, stuffies, balls, and playing fetch. And I'll do best with regular exercise, play time and couch potato time with my person. I do well wearing a harness on my walks and love to stop and smell things along the way. ( I am a Hound after all) And no cats please. I need a home of my own with my own special place in the living room. And I hope you'll come visit me soon.
My adoption fee includes my spay/neuter, up to date immunizations, nationally recognized microchip and more.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Emmy, a Evansville Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Evansville, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Evansville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Evansville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Evansville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Evansville paves the way for another one to be saved.
