Here's what the humans have to say about me:
"Vincent" is a sweet 2-year old male Labrador Retriever who was brought to the HSOV on December 13, 2016 by the Washington County (Ohio) Dog Warden. Our compassionate dog warden had taken him into protective custody the previous day since he was not being given the care (or respect) that he needed and deserved :( "Vincent" was taken directly to a local veterinarian before coming into our shelter. This handsome guy has a black short smooth coat with a white blaze on his chest, a long tail, and an adorable face with the most soulful brown eyes. "Vincent" has an affectionate disposition and a gentle, easygoing personality and craves kindness and attention. He weighs 60.4 lbs but is still painfully thin, and he is missing a bit of hair on his hind quarters (which is most likely a flea allergy). Vincent's previous owner is being charged with neglect and is not currently available for adoption pending a court hearing. We've been given permission by the Washington County Dog Warden (Kelly McGilton) to post Vincent's pictures and story so that potential adopters/rescues will know that he is in our shelter and is being given extra TLC until he is released to find a new home. UPDATE: "Vincent" (aka "Blackie") has been surrendered by his previous owner and is now available for adoption/foster/rescue. He was neutered on January 20, 2017 and was also given rabies vaccine.
