Precious's Story...
This gorgeous young lady is Precious, a 2 year old calico tiger that is hoping for a fabulous home of her own to spend her life in. Precious came to us from our Newark facility with the hopes of a fresh start in life. She was turned in by her family when their landlord told them Precious had to go. Obviously Precious was heartbroken over losing the only home she ever knew, but she's looking on the bright side and hoping to get noticed by a new family quickly. Precious is a little shy upon meeting new people and that's understandable, but once she checks you out and realizes you're ok, she'll respond so well to affection. She loosens right up and mushes against you, dreaming of going home with you. Precious is super sweet and lovable, and just wants to curl up in your lap and feel safe. She doesn't seem to mind other cats and would love a more quiet, commotion-free home to relax in. She'll be your best and most soft, cuddly friend for life if you just give her a chance. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Precious, a Forked River Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
