Talulah's Story...
Take some time to get to know Talulah. She's a shy 3 year old Bernese Mountain Dog mix. Talulah as adopted about a month ago from Friendship and recently returned. Her owner said Talulah always wanted to hide behind the couch and chairs in the home. She would also have occasional potty accidents. Talulah was great in her crate, loved being outside and enjoyed going for walks. This gal is quiet but friendly with all ages. Kids 6 and up would be best. Younger ones may scare her. It's not known if she's ever lived with other pets. She will need a patient family that will need to address her anxieties. Talulah is a very sweet girl.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.

All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are wormed, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. Dogs 3 months and older are micro-chipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Talulah, a Elyria Bernese Mountain Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bernese Mountain Dog for sale in Elyria, or seeking a Bernese Mountain Dog dog from a breeder in Elyria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elyria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elyria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bernese Mountain Dog breeders who help with Bernese Mountain Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elyria paves the way for another one to be saved.
