Lucille's Story...
Hi I'm Lucille-phew what a day-rescue mom came and got us from two nice ladies who rescued us off the street because we were weaned but had no home! They fed us but couldn't take care of us anymore-so we came here, got baths because we needed it badly, and now are dreaming of better days! I'm on the outgoing side of life curious. I'm the only one with polka dots around the eye and some spots on my ears! all the kids say I'm adorable. Mom is a purebred yellow lab, dad an Aussie. I come from good stock! I will be spayed, get all shots, on my preventatives now, and can go home to an approved family even before Christmas day on 12/22. I will make the perfect family dog-loyal, protective and loving! ~Love, Lucille

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucille, a Boerne Labrador Retriever/Australian Shepherd puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Australian Shepherd for sale in Boerne, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Australian Shepherd puppy from a breeder in Boerne.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boerne already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boerne breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boerne paves the way for another one to be saved.
