Axel's Story...
Hi, I’m Axel. Axel is a special guy in that he was rescued by a trainer who has worked with him a lot to get him ready for his new home. He is a little under 1 year old and he is a cuddly and affectionate boy who aims to please. He gets along with other dogs and does not seem bothered by cats. He knows so many unique commands and is such a well behaved boy. He is crate trained and is trained not to leave his crate until commanded to do so, so his new family will need to remember this if he seems like he is in his kennel a lot. He walks great on a leash. He is a smart and energetic guy and would benefit from being in a home who will continue to reinforce his training and continue to work with him. Once adopted, Axel will come with free phone consultations with his dog trainer for his new family.

Email us at kcpetfinder@hotmail.com to meet Axel. His adoption fee is $175 and includes age appropriate vaccines, neuter, microchip, and heartworm testing.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Axel, a Overland Park Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
