My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Winter is a sweet maltese/cock a poo mix.. He is approx 2 yrs old and 11 lbs. He loves to sit on your lap and get lots of attention. He is a little scared of big dogs and would be better off in a home with a smaller dog or no dogs. He is a little timid, so we prefer an adult family only. He is fairly well house trained but not perfect and will need someone that can work with him. He seems to do pretty well on a leash, he really likes people and is going to be a great companion for someone. He is not hypoallergenic.


The total adoption donation of $475 and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. Some of our dogs are still in Texas in foster care. Just as a note, if you are in Massachusetts and are adopting directly from Texas rather than from a local foster, there are new quarantine laws in effect. All rescues must be quarantined 48 hours at a state run facility, and in addition, a second interstate health certificate is required to be issued by a Massachusetts vet. This new law may add an additional cost.
