Hi! My name is Pecan Pie—Pecan for short. I am about 2 years old and about 12 pounds. I am energetic and wiggly when you come home but settle down fairly quickly. I LOVE my foster dad when he comes home I get so excited and greet him with puppy kisses and a tail that wags in fast circles not just back and forth!
I love to play with toys, my foster mom has lots! She also has five other small dogs that I live with so it’s safe to say that I am dog-friendly with male and females alike. I have met big dogs out on my walks and I’m ok with the proper introductions. I’ve never met a cat but would probably be fine with them due to my low-key nature. Kids 8 and up who are very gentle and don’t poke at me might be something I would like too but we have to meet for me to know.
I am potty trained I go outside to do my business without being asked. I have a doggie door that I can go in and out of – its pretty neat! I love to lay on the carpet or on the patio and sun myself with my foster siblings.
I sleep quietly in my pen at night and would be fine to sleep in my bed next to yours or in your bed if you’d allow me to. I love to snuggle. I hang out in my Xpen during the day while my foster mom is at work. I whimper a little when she first leaves but then I curl up and take a nap once I know she’s gone.
I love walks and I’m like a champ on the leash and yes to car rides! I and always up for an adventure with you and just LOVE to sniff when we are out and about. I am an all around happy guy looking for a loving home—could it be you? I would like to have either a canine companion in my forever home or someone who doesn’t work a full work day since I would be lonely being an only dog left alone all week while you work.

All our dogs are in private foster homes and arrangements to meet our dogs occur after an application has been received.
