Bowie's Story...
UPDATED BIO 01/10/2017: Foster Mom says that Bowie is like a breath of fresh air. He gets along with all the pups in the house and just wants to play, play, play. He has even managed to gain the friendship of the resident male which is not an easy task, I might add. He does get excited and has had accidents in the house but, is not a problem when Foster Mom is home all day.

Bowie will jump the highest mountain to get his share of kisses and hugs. This is one thing he will not allow to be forgotten. He prides himself as being the best kisser in the house. Samson and Bowie are a team and must be adopted together.

Bowie and his brother Samson must be adopted together. Their combined adoption fee is $395.00 and includes all vetting (neuter/spay, dental cleaning, immunizations, microchip and chip registration). A Vet reference, personal references, and home visit are required for adoption. You may apply to adopt Bowie and Samson by going to our website at www.unitedyorkierescue.org and completing the adoption application located on our home page.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bowie, a Ft Myers Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier for sale in Ft Myers, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Ft Myers.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ft Myers already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ft Myers breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ft Myers paves the way for another one to be saved.
