Meet Snickerdoodle, a 12 week old puppy who is here to add some sweetness to the holiday season! Snickerdoodle and his siblings Sugar (in the photo with Snickerdoodle), Putter Pecan, Spritz, and Gingersnap are the Cookie pups. Snickerdoodle currenlty weighs 20 pounds and looks like he might be part Airedale. We don't know these pups' exact ingredients, but we have their mom Cookie, who is a 62 pound shepherd mix and a very sweet, medium-energy dog. Our best guess is Snickerdoodle will be large when fully grown, well over 60 pounds. But only those willing to take pot-luck in terms of what size and breed he turns out to be, should apply!
Snickerdoodle is very submissive, and also very shy. But once he gets to know you, he just wants to snuggle and be held. He loves a belly rub and flops over to hold your hand in his paws. He sleeps through the night in his crate without accident, and is on the way to being house-trained. He is good with other dogs, and likes to play with his siblings. Because he is so young, Snickerdoodle needs a family where someone is home part or all day to finish his potty-training, keep him socialized and take him to puppy school.
Come meet Snickerdoodle and the other Cookie pups at Wilmette Pet Center (625 Green Bay Rd, 847-251-6750, wilmettepetcenter.com). Although you will want to take your favorite cookie home on the spot, please know you will have to submit an application for adoption.
Snickerdoodle's adoption fee of $375 includes vet exam, distemper combo vaccination, bordetella vaccination, flea/tick preventative, heartworm preventative, routine deworming, microchip and neuter.
