Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi! I'm ButterPecan, a 5 month old puppy (but I am very mature for my young age!). My siblings have all been adopted, and I don't know why I wasn't--I'm just as sweet and smart and cute -- so it must be they saved the best for last! I currently weigh 38 pounds and have a thick plush coat and pretty markings. I'm not sure what breed my dad was, but my mom is a 64 pound shepherd mix and I look a lot like her.
My foster mom tells me that I am one of the best puppies she has ever fostered! I'm the perfect mix: very calm, quiet and laid back for a puppy, but willing to play with children, adults and other dogs. I am living with two kids (ages 3 and 6) and I'm really great with them so I would do well in any family-- with or without kids or other dogs. I'm very smart and already know how to sit and understand "go potty" and "no." I'm not a barker at all. Plus I am house trained, and know to wait quietly by the door when I need to go outside. I love going for walks or runs, playing with my family, or just exploring the yard. When I can't be outside I'm happy to just sit and look out the window. After playtime I like to relax on the sofa or in my doggy bed, and before bedtime I love cuddle time with my family. At night I sleep quietly in my crate without a peep or an accident. All in all, I am a very easy-going, loving pup and whoever adopts me will be very lucky ❤️❤️❤️.
My best guess is that I'm going to grow up to be a big boy, at least as big as my mom. But since my breed is unknown, only those willing to take pot-luck in terms of what size, shape and breed I turn out to be should apply! Because I am still young, I need a family where someone is home part or all day to maintain my potty-training, keep me socialized and exercised, and take me to puppy school.
My adoption fee of $375 includes vet exam, DAPP distemper combo vaccination, bordetella vaccination, rabies vaccination, flea/tick preventative, heartworm preventative, routine deworming, microchip and neuter.
