June's Story...
EST DOB: 10/9/14
Undergoing heartworm treatment

June is a ray of sunshine. She has had a rough time but you would never know. She is happy to meet every stranger as her new best friend. She likes other dogs and is very playful. She likes toys and is learning to fetch. She soaks up any kind of attention, and loves a good scratch.

June was born to momma Melanie whom ARF also rescued from the Jacksonville Texas area in October. June had her littler of 6 puppies just about 2 weeks after Melanie had 10 puppies. June was a great momma but now she is ready to be treated like a puppy again. She needs a lot of space to roam and someone around most of the time to give her lots of attention. She can get herself into trouble if left alone and gets bored. She was use to free roaming and has had to adjust but her natural instinct still kick in and she gets curious. She would love another dog or two to hang out with as well but would be fine as an only dog as long as her human was around.
Please look into her eyes and see the longing to be in a furever home. She is quite the rare gem. She is going to be a beautiful member of someone’s family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

June, a Flower Mound Rhodesian Ridgeback/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rhodesian Ridgeback/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Flower Mound, or seeking a Rhodesian Ridgeback/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Flower Mound.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Flower Mound already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Flower Mound breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rhodesian Ridgeback/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Rhodesian Ridgeback/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Flower Mound paves the way for another one to be saved.
