Meetour Peyton, a French Bulldog mix! She is a sweet girl who has energy to spare. The only thing she wants is love, she loves to hug you and to be cuddled against your legs. Georgia Animal Rescue and Defence, Inc. is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit animal charity and a licensed 509(a)2 no-kill animal shelter that is funded entirely by private contributions, and receives no government funding. GARD was founded in 2006 by, and is privately owned by, a family of animal lovers who have dedicated their lives to saving animals and educating others regarding the pet over-population problem.

Come Meet Our Pets...

GARD is open every day from 2:00 to 6:00PM EST. We also normally hold adoptions at PetSmart in Pooler, GA on Saturdays. Please check our website for adoption event details.

Our Adoption Process...

If interested in adopting an animal, please read the GARD Adoption Guidelines first at http://www.gardonline.org/adoption/gard-adoption-guidelines/ and then complete an adoption questionnaire at http://www.gardonline.org/adoption/adoption-application/ If approved, you will have to complete the adoption contract located on our website and pay an adoption fee which can range from $50 and up depending on the animal.
