My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Wendy is a tender hearted girl, quick to give kisses and snuggle up near by. She would do best with a mid to highly active family, as she has a lot of energy to play with her foster family's 1yr old lab. She does really well on a leash, just a slight pull here and there for squirrels sometimes, but she responds quickly to correction. She's eager to please, and learn, especially if treats/food are the reward for good behavior. Her foster family has worked with her house training and she has come along way from when she was first pulled from the shelter. She knows sit, and 'down/ 'stay down' (as she often tries to get to eye level with people and food).

She is friendly and playful with her foster mom's lab, but is sensitive about eating in the same room with her. Her foster family has been working on this, and think once she understands she will be fed consistently, she's likely to relax on that front. Wendy loves attention from people..she absolutely relishes in it. She'll bark to alert you to noises, but is otherwise a quiet girl. She sleeps well in her crate without complaints. This beautiful labbie girl will make an excellent family member to a loving home that will care for her forevermore.

Wendy is a lab mix whose estimated DOB is 12/2015. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations.

For more information on our adoption process, please visit our website at www.youluckydogrescue.org and read our Adoption FAQ's and Before You Adopt documents. In addition you can complete an online adoption application from our website. You can also email info@youluckydogrescue.org for additional details.

Our adoption fee is $300 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. The breed and age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog. We cannot confirm the age of the dog unless the dog was born in the care of the rescue. We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.
