JuJu, a 5-year-old Chihuahua, is a spunky, fun-loving fellow who does well with cats, dogs and rabbits! He likes to pick a "person" to follow around but easily adapts to just about anyone with a little time and baby talk! He does very well with kenneling and actually prefers to be kenneled during the night. He began his time in rescue needing a belly band, but he has made great progress toward being housebroken, which works best when he has a regular routine. During the day, JuJu does exhibit some separation anxiety (yowling and howling) when left alone. Thus, he would likely not be great for apartment living. JuJu is working on controlling his territorial mannerisms. He does great with toys, food and treats, but he requires a gentle reminder every so often that aggression is not necessary when it comes to protecting his "people". I can see this dog being an awesome, loving dog to some person who is who is looking for a little companion and can see where having another dog to bond with would be helpful unless someone can provide enough attention. He will be an awesome, loving dog to some lucky person who is who is looking for a little companionship. Having another dog to bond with would be helpful unless someone can provide him with enough attention.
Update 1/28/2017: Update: JuJu has been diagnosed with a heart condition which requires medication. The total monthly cost is around $18. Juju takes his medication well.
