Facts about Woody

  • Breed: Cockatoo
  • Color: Pink
  • Age: Senior
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: Woody
Woody is a 60-year old Moluccan cockatoo, in excellent health and perfect feather, but does have slight cataracts on each eye which cause minimum vision impairment. Woody has a life expectancy of 80-90+ years, so he's an older guy with a lot of living left to do. Woody was a wild-caught bird, but lived with his previous dad for more than 30 years. Woody loves everyone, and loves to be scratched all over, but he does not appreciate being held onto.

About Wings of Love Parrot Rescue Center of the Bluegrass

About Our Rescue Group...

Wings of Love Parrot Rescue Center of the Bluegrass is a group of people who love parrots and are compassionate about their proper care and companionship. Our goal is to raise education and awareness of the need for forever homes for these animals, some of whom have lifespans of more than seventy years.

Our Adoption Process...

All potential adopters are required to complete an adoption application and agree to a pre-adoption home visit. Approved adopters will be required to sign an adoption contract and agree to a second, post-adoption home visit so we can determine that the bird is doing well and is a proper fit for the home.
