Samantha's Story...
Samantha was hit by a car and a good samaritan found her. She was taken to our vet and no one ever claimed her. The vet cared and loved her and transferred her to us. She is a little iffy with men. But she warms up. She loves my husband. This is my first Italian greyhound mix so I'm learning about the breed. And she has most of those characteristics. She is fast and light on her feet. She has spurts where she prances around. She likes to perch on my shoulder. And she is bonded with me. She is housetrained. She gets overwhelmed with all the doggies we have. She sleeps right next to my head. This has been a big transition she is very emotional because of it. So a new place will take her some time. She is touch sensitive. She love nibbles. She is the perfect size.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Samantha, a Fowler Italian Greyhound/Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Italian Greyhound/Rat Terrier for sale in Fowler, or seeking a Italian Greyhound/Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Fowler.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fowler already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fowler breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Italian Greyhound/Rat Terrier breeders who help with Italian Greyhound/Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fowler paves the way for another one to be saved.
