Kino's Story...
Meet Kino! Kino is a shy little guy who is around 4-years-old and was transferred from another shelter. He will likely take a few visits to warm up to you, but once he has, he's ALL yours! He has this trot to his walk that is beyond adorable too. He has made doggie friends here, however we are not yet sure how he is with cats or kids. Due to his shy nature and how he responds to uncomfortable situations, he would likely do best in a home without kids or older kids who can understand his boundaries. We know he will be someone's ultimate companion! Could it be you?

Kino is available and able to have applications submitted once you've met. For more information, please give us a call at (302) 571-0111 or visit us at our center (701 A Street Wilmington, DE) Tuesday-Friday 12-7pm or Saturday & Sunday 12-5pm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kino, a Wilmington Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Wilmington, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Wilmington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wilmington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wilmington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wilmington paves the way for another one to be saved.
