Rutherford's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Rutherford's Story...
Look at Rutherford with his adorable Santa hat. Rutherford is a big boy with a big name...and an extra big heart. Rutherford doesn't like to discuss his age but his friends guess that he is around 2 years old. Just take a look at Rutherford in these pictures and you will recognize right away that he will be the perfect lap cat. Rutherford likes other cats and kittens and is not worried by small friendly dogs. Rutherford was abandoned and homeless and living under some bushes in a parking lot until a Cattitude Inc volunteer took him in. Santa and his reindeer really liked Rutherford...that's because he loves everybody.

Rutherford is neutered - up to date on basic vaccinations - tested negative for fiv/felv

Want to meet this big sweet fella? That's easy. Just send an email inquiry to njcattitude@gmail.com - one of our friendly volunteers will respond pretty darn quick. Or...you can meet Rutherford in person at a Cattitude Inc Saturday adoption event in the Piscataway PetCo {1333 Centennial Avenue} between 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rutherford, a Highland Park Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Highland Park, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Highland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Highland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Highland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Highland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
