My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bonnie is a nine-month-old black and white female cat. Bonnie was found in a backyard with two other cats, and the resident was feeding them. The resident could see Bonnie was young, hungry, and scared out of her wits, and brought her to us. This young lady was dirty, terribly matted, and thin. Not any longer! Bonnie loves other cats, and bonds well with them.. She still lacks complete confidence with humans, and our staff and volunteers are constantly reassuring her that humans are as likeable as cats! We can only imagine what this young girl experienced in her short life on the streets. If your cat needs a friend and companion, Bonnie’s your girl!

At PAAWS RI, all of the cats that come into our care are spayed/neutered, receive a rabies vaccination, distemper vaccinations, de-worming, flea treatment, microchipping, and testing for Feline Leukemia/FIV.

Our shelter is located in the Care for Animals veterinary hospital, at 2944 Post Road, Warwick, RI 02886. You are welcome to visit during the following hours: Monday and Tuesday 8 am to 5 pm, Wednesday 9 am to 7 pm, Thursday 8 am to 5 pm, and Friday 9 am to 3 pm. We have an Adoption Open House every Saturday from 10 am to 12 noon – hope to see you there! We're also happy to set up appointments.
