Rio's Story...
Up for adoption in Texas and New England: Rio.
Rio is very laid back and sweet to anybody and all dogs. He is CAT and kid friendly too. He loves to cuddle and give kisses.
He sleeps under the covers right next to his foster mom every night. He does not bark. It is funny though, he howls when he is hungry. He also howls with happiness with his foster family comes home from work.
Rio is housebroken, he doesn’t chew on things or damage furniture while his foster family is not home. Rio also walks perfectly on a leash, his foster family has done such a wonderful job with him! Rio tends to be more submissive.
Rio is about 5 years old and weighs about 55 lbs.
He is neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped, housebroken and quite an amazing boy ! Apply at www.luckylabrescue.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rio, a Austin Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Austin, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
