My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

LAYLA is a 11 year old spayed chocolate female Lab who weighs 78 pounds. Gage and Layla are a bonded pair of chocolate kisses looking for their forever family! They previously lived on a rural five acre farm and they had free roam of the farm. Gage is house and crate trained, though he no longer needs the crate. He knows basic commands and walks well on a leash. He enjoys playing and hanging out with Layla. Gage has great manners and is a happy guy, he is just happy to be around his pal Layla but also loves other dogs and people! Layla and Gage previously lived with children ages 5 and 9 so they are approved for kids 5 and up. They are good with other dogs and cats. She is bonded with Gage and they must be adopted together. Owner give up to lab rescue due to lack of time to care for them. She is approved for kids 5+.

Adopters must meet these requirements:
Setting: Rural, Suburban
Dwelling: Single Family Home
Fencing: Physical fence required

Update: Layla and Gage continue to do well with their foster family. They love the kids and enjoy being outside and playing in the back yard. Gage is the spirited one and loves attention and makes sure you know it. They both are very sweet and loving and would do well with a family with kids and/or other dogs.

Update: Layla and Gage can't believe they are still waiting for their forever home! This sweet chocolate pair would love to be your valentine! They are perfect in the house, and love to play outside and love the kids in their foster family. Wouldn't you love to wake up to these sweet faces every day?

Update: Layla and Gage are sweet and thrive on getting attention. They are great family dogs and especially love children. They get very excited for walks and mealtime. Gage is full of energy and could use a bit more training on the leash. Layla still loves retrieving squeaky toys. They would love to find their own family so another needy dog could take up their space in their foster home. If you love chocolate labs, please take a look at this awesome pair.

Update: This pair is so easy! They love going for walks and getting attention from the family and are very good with the kids. They are super sweet, low to moderate energy, and settled in so nicely. They had a lovely holiday with their foster family and now are ready to find their forever family!

Update: Layla and Gage are adjusting well in their foster home. They are good on leash, and they don't need to be crated. They've been left alone for several hours and have been fine. They are very happy to be around their foster family!
