My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**PLEASE READ TO THE END FOR IMPORTANT INFORMATION.**

Gwen even smiles in her sleep! She is such a happy, loyal and loving dog. She comes with some issues, but we believe the perfect home for her is right around the corner. She hates cats, and she is not the best with other dogs. She is fine if the dogs respect her personal space, but she will not share a bed or a lap. We think she would be her happiest as an only dog. Gwen likes her heating pad bed, would prefer to be carried all day long, loves watching movies and reading books, and would like a home with a retired human who can spend all or most of their time with her. Gwen is needy and has a bit of separation anxiety, but when her human is close, her butt is always wiggling and her tail is always wagging. She's a bossy little diva with a very sweet soul. She is so sweet and well-behaved with humans that we think some of her aggression toward other dogs is mostly fear-related. She likes going for car rides as long as she does not have to stay in a crate. In fact, Gwen hates being crated and prefers to be in bed with her human. If she is not in bed with you, you'll likely hear about until you finally cave. She will watch you go to the bathroom and be there while you shower. She will sit next to you all day long as the perfect life for her is to be with her human. She is not completely potty trained, but we are working on it. She pooped on the pad today and then walked into the kitchen pee, but hey, it's progress! She will go outside only if you go with her. When she barks, she sounds like someone who has been smoking for 50 years, so more raspy than yappy.

Her foster absolutely adores Gwen and has had her in her home with several other dogs all week. She has to be constantly be corrected when she's with other "critters" and would eat the cats of she could. She humps the other dogs and has bitten a couple of the dogs, though that is more of a "back off" nip than a real bite.

Gwen is a good girl and deserves an adopter who will adore her for who she is. She is 8 years old and weighs 4.5 lbs.

If you would like to adopt Gwen, please fill out an application at www.TexasChihuahuaRescue.com. Her adoption fee, including vetting paperwork and microchip registration to adopter, is $200.
