THEIR STORY: Meet Simon! He arrived to a fire station in a cardboard box. We then took him in to find him a great home. He is neutered with his rabies and distemper shot. He is also dewormed, has flea preventative on, and checked NEG for FIV. He is ready for his new home.

PERSONALITY: Okay, so he is a big baby. As soon as I take him out of the cage he lets me hold him with ease and even my young children (3 and 5) can hold him as well. He meows for attention as he gets rather lonely, but he needs a home where someone can hold him A LOT. You see, he still hisses. It is his defense mechanism and he hisses with his ears down when he is scared. He does NOT swat or try to injure, but he gets scared this way and the reason he need to just be held a lot and taken care of like the the little baby he is.
So if someone would want to give this little baby a great home, they would need to keep him confined to a smaller room and be able to hold him a LOT. He will get pass this and understand that humans are not people to be scared of. He would need time in a new home to adjust as well.

***Within the first few weeks to a month you will know if the adoption is not working out. At this time we will take the animal back. We don't want to see them given to the Humane Society (which can euthanize upwards of 50 or more cats a day like our local shelter) or left to fend for themselves on the streets. Please never let the humane society be a choice for ANY animal. They rely on us for their well-being******

We are a registered 501c3 non-profit rescue organization located in New Smyrna Beach. We do not have a shelter, but rely on foster parents and homes to house our rescued animals. Because of this our adoption times vary and are very flexible.
