Harley's Story...
Harley is a 2 year old (D.O.B. November 2, 2005), 5.5 pound Chihuahua. His tan and white coat is very short, soft and sleek. Even though he is full Chihuahua, he will be adopted out without AKC papers. Harley’s slightly upturned nose and “apple” head make him one handsome fellow! Like many Chihuahua’s, he is reserved with strangers and intensely devoted to one person. Therefore, we feel the best home for Harley would be one that is quiet and stable, with a non-threatening environment and made up of only adults. Harley tries to be protective (but at 5.5 pounds, isn’t real effective), and is good at alerting his owners when company arrives. He is small in stature, but big in spirit! Even though the little fellow is slow to warm up to strangers, once you have earned his trust, he is your best buddy. Harley’s three favorite activities are going on walks, car rides, and sitting on his favorite person’s lap. He has been vet checked, neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and tested negative for heartworm. Call 507-451-4512 to meet Harley in his foster home. His adoption fee is $165. (CE)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Harley, a Owatonna Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Owatonna, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Owatonna.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Owatonna already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Owatonna breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Owatonna paves the way for another one to be saved.
