'Meet Vader (yes as in Darth Vader). He is a year old born July 9th 2015. He is a healthy and energetic mix of terrier and lab. He is full grown, up to date on shots and immunizations. He has been neutered. He knows basic commands and will let you know when he is hungry or needs to go out and pee or poop. He is also crate trained. Once we find his forever home we have several items i.e. Toys, grooming tools and treats that will go with him including his Star Wars collar
Vader loves to run and play with his squeaky toys. We are searching for an active family in a home with a fenced in yard so he can run off his energy. He is great with school age children as I have an 8yr old and a 9yr old. He's been around other animals in social settings and gets along with them great.
Our story as to why we are all of a sudden searching for a dog we've had over a year.... I recently had my 3rd child 6 1/2 weeks early and am juggling my time back and forth to the NICU and also making sure my other 2 children don't feel the stress of the 'new normal'. With that Vader has been pushed to the bottom of priorities right now. Our neighbors have taken turns walking and loving on him but being in a kennel for the better part of 8hrs a day while we are at the hospital or running our other 2 where they need to go just isn't fair for him. I'm a firm believer in knowing my limits and what I can handle, I'm aware when a premature newborn comes home Vader will want and need attention that I just won't be able to provide him.'
