My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tatum is a gorgeous German Shorthair Pointer mix. She weighs 40 pounds.
She was found limping on the roadside in the Corridor, looking miserable. Her eyes were pleading for help. Tatum was visibly relieved and calmly sat in the back of the car on her freedom ride.

The x-ray at the vet showed an old injury to her ankle. Tatum underwent surgery fuse the joint which greatly relieved her pain. This will not affect her mobility. She has already been using her leg with no issues. She may limp occasionally if she is overactive and she may possibly develop arthritis sooner than later, but other than that, she is pain free and ready to rumble.

Her caretaker describes Tatum as very playful, submissive with people and she gets along with most dogs. She likes to play with cats but not every cat appreciates her playful demeanor. Her favorite games to play are chase or tug of war. While Tatum plays nicely with other dogs, she seems to become distressed when they play too rough around her. She prefers to eat by herself. She would do best in a home with older, respectful children and easy going, yet playful dogs.

Tatum is a smart girl and has excellent crate manners. She walks very well on the leash without pulling, knows basic commands such as sit and come, and will come when called off-leash. She enjoys going on car rides and to the store. She is the perfect shopping companion when going on errands to PetSmart, Home Depot or wherever else she is allowed to go inside. She is very well behaved and will assist you in not overspending!

**This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas but is available for transport to most major US and Canadian cities via United Airlines PetSafe for an additional $275. A customs fee may apply at Canadian airports. Ground transportation to Colorado is available for $75, and several locations in the northeastern US for $175.

We are a street dog rescue in Houston, Texas seeking to place rescued dogs in loving homes across the US and Canada. Our region has more homeless animals than homes, so we look outside of our area for adopters.

The adoption fee of $200 covers spay, microchip and current vaccines.
